The Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) and Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL) provide access to databases and collections of interest to researchers, as well as laboratory facilities for practical use.
The UQ Archaeological Science Laboratories provide world-class integrated research and teaching facilities for UQ staff and students. The facility is comprised of nine dedicated wireless-enabled laboratory spaces in the Michie Building and the Archaeology Teaching and Research Centre (ATARC).

The Anthropology Museum is the largest university collection of ethnographic material culture in Australia, detailing the later 19th and 20th century social and cultural history of Australian Aboriginal and Pacific peoples. The Museum cares for a significant collection of contemporary Pacific and Australian Indigenous works, with smaller collections from Africa and East Asia. The Museum also holds a collection of over 7,000 photographs.

AustLit is a fully digitised bio-bibliographical database with over one million work records and over 200,000 agent records pertaining to Australian Literature and literary culture. The database, launched online in 2001, is housed at UQ St Lucia, and partially funded by subscriptions. It is maintained by a small team of specialist researchers, bibliographers, and indexers, plus interns and volunteers.
Services
AustLit supports research in studies of Australian Literature and literary culture, including a significant corpus of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander storytelling, and rich bibliographical data relating to all aspects of Australian stories on the page, stage, and screen. AustLit is an active collaborator and partner on major research grants and provides opportunities to postgraduate and undergraduate scholars via internships.
