- Round opens: 21 September 2018
- Applications to be submitted to the administering Faculty/Institute for review (deadline set internally)
- Full applications due to UQ Research and Innovation (UQR&I): 14 November 2018 (5.00pm)
- Anticipated announcement: December 2018
Overview
The Major Equipment and Infrastructure (MEI) grants scheme is a competitive scheme for infrastructure/equipment funding, and requires co-contributions from both UQ Central and the host Schools/Centres/Faculties/Institutes. The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Equipment Grant is also distributed through this scheme, with allocations broadly on a pro rata basis to those Faculties and Institutes that generate NHMRC income.
How to apply
Applicants should be aware that Faculties/Institutes will require applications to be submitted for assessment and ranking prior to the closing date with UQR&I. Please contact your Faculty or Institute Liaison for details.
- Step 1: Familiarise yourself with the key UQ documentation.
- Step 2: Complete your application using UQR&I Online Forms.
- Step 3: Submit your completed and validated Application Form, including the required PDF uploads to the relevant Faculty/Institute, using the online system.
Using UQR&I Online Forms
- To create an application, navigate to the UQR&I Online Forms log in page.
- Log in and navigate to the ‘Home’ page. Use the ‘New Form’ link on the left of the screen to create a new application
- Select 'UQ Major Equipment & Infrastructure (MEI) 2019’ as the application form type, then begin completing your proposal
- Complete all sections, including any PDF uploads (using the templates provided) as required
- Once complete, the Application Form should be validated and submitted to the Faculty/Institute.
