Key dates for One-UQ Research Infrastructure Investment Scheme 2021

  • Requests for cash contributions from Faculties and Institutes must be submitted to the administering Faculty/Institute Research Manager by 5 pm Friday 11 June 2021
  • Full applications due to UQ Research and Innovation (UQ R&I): 5 pm, Friday 25 June 2021

Overview

One-UQ Research Infrastructure Investment Scheme (One-UQ RIIS) is a competitive scheme for infrastructure/equipment funding, which encourages the purchase of equipment that will be used collaboratively.

The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Equipment Grant is also distributed through this scheme, with allocations broadly on a pro-rata basis to those Faculties and Institutes that generate NHMRC income.

How to apply

Applicants should be aware that Faculties/Institutes will require applications for review and arranging their cash support emails, prior to the closing date with UQ R&I. Please contact your Faculty or Institute Research Manager for details.

  • Step 1: Familiarise yourself with the key UQ documentation.
  • Step 2: Complete your application using UQ R&I Online Forms.
  • Step 3: For requests for cash contributions from Faculties/Institutes: Validate and use Download PDF function and then send a PDF copy to your Faculty/Institute Research Manager for review.
  • Step 4: Submit your completed and validated Application Form, including the required PDF uploads to UQ R&I, using the online system.

Using UQ R&I Online Forms

  • To create an application, navigate to the UQ R&I Online Forms log in page.
  • Log in and navigate to the ‘Home’ page.
  • Use the ‘New Form’ link on the left of the screen to create a new application.
  • Select 'One-UQ RIIS 2021’ as the application form type, then begin completing your proposal.
  • Complete all sections, including any PDF uploads (using the templates provided) as required.
  • Once complete (including endorsements from Schools/Centres/External), the Application Form should be validated and, if requesting a contribution from Faculties/Institutes, a PDF copy created and sent to the Research Manager of the administering unit
  • All final endorsements from Faculty/Institute are to be uploaded to the application form before submitting the final application to UQ R&I
