The Research Management Systems team is dedicated to servicing the UQ research community, partnering with major stakeholders to understand their needs and supporting them through the delivery and support of digital solutions to enable more satisfying user experiences, efficient and compliant business processes, and storage solutions that support the research endeavour.

They continue to introduce, extend and improve systems that support research, researcher development and research administration.

Research systems initiatives

will deliver an extensive new suite of research administration functionality to add to the existing Ethics functions, covering contract research, consultancy, competitive grants and internal schemes.
The Research Infrastructure Management System (RIMS) is a centralised platform for researchers to locate infrastructure and services at a range of facilities and laboratories across several UQ locations. The RIMS platform provides a common entry point, and a consistent method for booking use of instruments and ordering related consumables and services.
