Overview

Early Career Fellowships (ECFs) aim to foster career development at the postdoctoral level by encouraging the beneficial experience of a different research environment. ECFs will have opportunities to undertake research that is both of major importance in their field and of benefit to Australian health.

How to apply

Step 1. RGMS updates and scheme reading

  • Update your full profile RGMS 'My Profile and CV'. If any team members are new to RGMS and need a login/password, start early.
  • Familiarise yourself with the key National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Funding Partner and UQ documentation.

Step 2. Completing the application

Step 3. UQR&I internal review and feedback

  • Ahead of internal review, ensure all online components are complete/valid and generate your proposal snapshots in RGMS (refer RMGS User Guide - Applying for Grants)
  • To initiate internal review, email your completed Funding Coversheet to UQR&I at nhmrcfellowships@research.uq.edu.au.
  • Also provide completed UQ Certification Proforma.
  • Internal review by UQR&I/feedback provided (compliance/eligibility/grantsmanship).

Step 4. Final submission

  • Final submission by UQR&I to NHMRC.
