HDR Enhancement

About HDR Enhancement

The HDR Enhancement project will build upon services delivered in conjunction with the Candidature Management System for HDR Candidates and their advisory teams. Four key services will be delivered to further enhance the HDR student experience, improving efficiency and reducing risks for HDR administration at UQ. These services will support:

  • HDR candidate progression by development of an online tool enabling end-to-end management of milestone attainment. The tool will provide transparency for candidates, principal advisers, milestone committee members, HDR liaison officers and post graduate coordinators,
  • HDR candidate examination by delivery of integrated thesis submission and examination processes,
  • provision of an updated and streamlined library of HDR Standard Operating Procedures supporting UQ Graduate School staff in effective and efficient decision making to provide consistent service to HDR candidates and their advisory teams,
  • enhanced information and tools for candidates, advisers and Directors of Higher Degree Research (DHDR) to be made available via the my.UQ portal.

Benefits of the HDR Enhancement Project

  • greater control and oversight of HDR milestone processes for candidates, advisers and post graduate coordinators,
  • significantly improved usability and efficiency for candidates, advisers and examiners, in the thesis submission and examination processes,
  • clarity and consistency in the way policy, procedures and processes are linked and articulated for all HDR stakeholders,
  • greater understanding and documented pathway for candidates, advisers and DHDRs of access to information and tools supporting the HDR program here at UQ.
