Overview

UQ Development Fellowships aim to foster development of the most promising early career researchers and retain mid-career/senior academic staff of exceptional calibre at the University. Fellowships may be applied for and awarded salary funding for up to a maximum of three years full-time, and all require a 20% time commitment to one of three Capacity Areas (Research-Teaching, Research-Industry, Research-Service).

How to apply

Some administering units may have an internal Expression of Interest process, so it is important to contact them well in advance of the deadline to confirm the timeframe.

  • Step 1: Familiarise yourself with the key UQ documentation.
  • Step 2: Complete your application using UQR&I Online Forms
  • Step 3: Submit your completed and validated Application Form to the host School/Centre/Institute, using the online system.

Using UQR&I Online Forms

  • To create an application, navigate to the UQR&I Online Forms login page
  • Log in and navigate to the ‘Home’ page. Use the ‘New Form’ link on the left of the screen to create a new application
  • Select ‘UQ Development Fellowships’ as the application form type, then begin completing your proposal
  • Complete all sections, including any PDF uploads (using the templates provided) as required
  • Once complete, the Application Form should be validated and submitted to the School/Centre/Institute.
