Overview
The UQ Foundation Research Excellence Awards (FREA) scheme is a means by which the University recognises demonstrated excellence and promise of future success in research. It also recognises the leadership potential of individual young researchers in their respective fields.
Awards are normally valued between $50,000 and $100,000 and are based on the excellence of the nominee and the merit of the program of research for which the award is sought.
How to apply
- Step 1: Familiarise yourself with the key UQ documentation.
- Step 2: Download and complete the UQ Foundation Research Excellence Nomination Form.
- Step 3: Submit your completed and Nomination Form to the host School/Centre/Institute. Endorsed proposals will then be on-forwarded to the Faculty/Institute with the completed Recommendation Form. Internal deadlines may be set by local units.
