UQ Development Fellowships ran in 2017 and 2018, and prior to that under a variety of names, including UQ Fellowships. The scheme aimed to foster development of the most promising early career researchers and retain mid-career/senior academic staff of exceptional calibre at the University. Fellowships were awarded salary funding for up to a maximum of three years full-time, and required a 20% time commitment to one of three Capacity Areas (Research-Teaching, Research-Industry, Research-Service).

This scheme has been replaced by UQ's post-fellowship initiative, UQ Amplify.

Prospective candidates wishing to apply for fellowship/awards at UQ might also like to consider applying through the ARC DECRA scheme, the NHMRC Investigator scheme, or the Advance Queensland Industry Research Fellowship scheme. Further opportunities may be identified through UQR&I's Finding Funding page.
