A Targeted Call for Research (TCR) is a one-time solicitation for grant applications to address a specific health issue. A TCR specifies the scope and objectives of the research to be proposed, application requirements and procedures, and the review criteria to be applied in the evaluation of applications submitted in response to the TCR.

  • Proposals open in Research Grants Management System (RGMS): 4 December 2019
  • EOIs due to UQ R&I: 30 January 2020
  • EOIs close with NHMRC: 12 February 2020

End of Life Care

How to apply

Step 1. RGMS updates and scheme reading

  • Update your full profile RGMS 'My Profile and CV'. If any team members are new to RGMS and need a login/password, start early.
  • Ensure minimum data requirements are complete and that no placeholder text has been included.
  • Familiarise yourself with the key National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and UQ documentation.

Step 2. Completing the application

Step 3. UQR&I internal review and feedback

  • Ahead of internal review, ensure all online components are complete/valid and generate your proposal snapshots in RGMS (refer RGMS User Guide - Applying for Grants)
  • To initiate internal review, email your completed Funding Coversheet to UQ R&I at nhmrc@research.uq.edu.au.
  • Also provide completed UQ Certification Proforma.
  • Internal review by UQ R&I/feedback provided (compliance/eligibility/grantsmanship).

Step 4. Final submission

  • Final submission by UQ R&I to NHMRC.
