Our Impact

As a university in the world’s top 50, UQ is internationally recognised for its research impact and pioneering technology.

For example, UQ researchers and innovators have been at the forefront of developments in the magnetic field correction systems used in most of the world’s clinical MRI instruments over many decades; the Gardasil vaccine refined in the early 2000s has saved the lives of countless women with over 97 million doses already distributed in 120 countries; and we are currently partnering with companies to develop technologies that will provide cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions in the future.
