Laura Garcia Carrascosa is a partnership and business development specialist with nearly two decades of experience in the research and innovation sector within the bio-med-tech fields.

With a focus on the health and biomedical portfolio, Laura helps researchers' ideas blossom and gain momentum by enabling strong collaborations with partners through the co-design of impactful research programs to address challenges of global significance.  

She is skilled in client relationship management, business development, communications and strategic planning. With one biomedical discovery already patented and licensed to industry, Laura is also an innovator and has first-hand experience in the commercialisation of research innovations. 

Laura holds a Bachelor in Biochemistry from Complutense University of Madrid and a PhD in personalised medicine with a focus on diagnostics from Autonomous University of Madrid. She has held postdoctoral, research engagement and management roles in Spain and Australia, including Innovation Broker at UQ to support large research initiatives within the health and biomedical portfolio.
