Pathways for creating strategic industry-UQ research partnerships:

1. Engagement stream

Targeted workshops for organisations based on the needs of the organisation. Designed for larger, more complex organisations who are interested not only in research but also opportunities such as student engagement, entrepreneurship, teaching and learning, joint grant applications, etc.

2. Capability stream

Workshops designed for multiple organisations on a chosen theme such as agtech, smart materials, healthy ageing, defence, smart cities, etc. These workshops are suitable for all organisations and in particular, start-ups, SMEs and pre-competitive collaborations.

3. Innovation stream

This is a series of events where researchers and companies can interact with a view to generating deal opportunities around protectable intellectual property (IP). These are designed to facilitate the sharing of information and insights from industry to a UQ audience.  It is a forum that allows for Q&A and informal networking in order to allow further interaction and conversation.  At a more B2B level, the program includes a schedule of individual meetings with selected researchers based on a company’s pre-qualified technology needs and matched innovations from UQ.

4. Leadership stream

Events engaging a high-profile guest speaker held in conjunction with a breakfast, lunch or dinner.
