UQ R&I is pleased to advise that an Information session and two Research Impact Workshops have been scheduled to support UQ applicants for 2021 NHMRC Investigator Grants.

Impact Statement Workshops

The NHMRC Investigator Grants scheme has a Track Record Assessment Criterion totalling 70% with a significantly weighted sub-criterion of ‘Research Impact’ (20% overall). Applicants are required to write a concise Research Impact Case Study, arranged in three character-limited sub-sections.

Two workshops will be held to support applicants in the development of their Impact Statements.

  • Opening presentations from UQ R&I and the UQ Library on effectively navigating and troubleshooting Impact Statements for the Investigator Grant scheme (approx. 45 minutes).
  • A workshopping component where a Research Impact Case Study exemplar will be unpacked by Workshop participants, including interactive components where attendees will be able to begin the process of unpacking and critiquing their own Impact Case Studies. All attendees are encouraged to bring along their draft responses to each of the three NHMRC Demonstrating Impact sections, having used the UQ resources in advance (approx. 1 hour).

Workshop 2 (Herston)

The session will be recorded and the audio file will be made available on the UQ R&I webpage following the session.
