Five University-wide Workshops have been scheduled to support UQ applicants for 2020 NHMRC Investigator Grants in preparing highly effective Research Impact Case Studies.

The University’s five Research Impact Case Study Workshops include three Workshops for applicants at Emerging Leadership levels, and two Workshops for applicants at Leadership levels.

Please note that as session places are limited, RSVP is compulsory for attendees.

Each Workshop of 1¾ hours will include:

  • Opening presentations from UQ R&I and the UQ Library on the Investigator Grants scheme, including how to effectively navigate and troubleshoot Impact Case Study writing (approx. 45 minutes).
  • A workshopping component where an actual Research Impact Case Study exemplar will be unpacked by Workshop participants, including interactive components where attendees will be able to begin the process of unpacking and critiquing their own Impact Case Studies using the approaches in UQ’s Research Impact Case Study Schematic. All attendees are asked to bring along their own dot point answers to each of the three NHMRC Demonstrating Impact sections, having used the UQ ‘Setting the scene’ questions followed by the UQ Schematic in advance (approx. 1 hour).
